#WorldLionDay (10th August), to us at Kabalega Foundation is symbolic. On this day, we honor not only the majestic king of the savannah, but also the enduring spirit of a lion that lived among us — Omukama Kabalega.
Known for his unshakable courage and resistance against colonial rule, Kabalega embodied the true essence of a lion: fearless, proud, and protective of his people.
As we celebrate the lion’s role in nature, we also celebrate the lion-hearted legacy of our progenitor — a symbol of strength, sovereignty, and resilience.
