James is the Founder and Executive Director of Kabalega Foundation. A great-grandson of Omukama Cwa II Kabalega—the progenitor and inspiration behind the Foundation—he carries forward a legacy rooted in leadership, cultural identity, and service to community.
Driven by a deep passion for community transformation, James leads the Foundation’s vision of empowering underserved populations through sustainable, locally driven initiatives that strengthen social, cultural, and economic resilience. Under his leadership, Kabalega Foundation continues to champion programs that promote cultural identity, environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, and inclusive community development.
James is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) 2021 Fellow, with a keen interest and passion for community development, and extensive knowledge in ICT for Development (ICT4D), research, corporate governance, and business management. He also serves as a Part-time Lecturer and PhD Fellow at Makerere University in the College of Computing and Information Sciences, with research interests in Artificial Intelligence and environmental data aggregation to support rural farmers in making informed decisions for climate resilience, and contributing to the development of the next generation run the jewels x nike sb dunk low of technology professionals.
