We are a Trust / Foundation registered to preserve and promote the legacy of Omukama Cwa II Kabalega through service and promotion of his life-long ideals

Omukama Cwa II Kabalega is the progenitor of Kabalega Foundation against whom it is named. He is a former ruler of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom in Uganda one of the greatest empires in pre-colonial East Africa, and a celebrated national hero widely credited with developmental rule, social justice, promotion of human rights, and formidable resistance to colonial rule.

Kabalega Foundation’s strategic goals include contributing to achieving more profound and lasting change in the lives of people in communities where we operate. We aspire to create a world where everyone thrives and achieves their best potential, with special emphasis and focus on women, children, person’s with disabilities, and youth in our programme interventions.

Through proposal writing, and direct solicitation of support, we receive and work with grant making partner organisations, donors (both organisations and individuals). We also work with companies, and organisations in need of fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility through partnership. At individual level, we also welcome and work with volunteering individuals and teams who give of their time to support our programmes and activities.

Yes. At the moment, Kabalega Foundation is not a tax-exempt organization. As such, financial contributions may be deductible for national income tax purposes.

When you buy items from our online souvenir shop, you incur transaction fees charged by the telecom payment aggregator if buying with Mobile Money, or by the bank in case of purchase by bank card.
