He emphasized that just as ancestral kingdoms and chiefdoms united scores of clans to prevent internal conflict and foster cooperation, modern generations must use creative measures to unite the diverse peoples and religious groups of Uganda to gain access to greater human and natural resources<\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,0,1,6\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Pan-Africanism and Overcoming Fragmented Markets:<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"p-rc_962325da88a337c8-59\" data-path-to-node=\"2,1,1\"><span data-path-to-node=\"2,1,1,0\">Highlighting Pan-Africanism as a core NRM ideology, the President pointed out that economic and political integration across Africa is a matter of survival<\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,1,1,2\">. He noted that limited market access\u2014stemming from fragmented national markets like Uganda\u2019s population of 45 million compared to economic giants like China, India, and the European Union\u2014remains a major strategic bottleneck<\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,1,1,4\">.
